An error with the transmission control software may be such that while shifting from Park to Drive the vehicle may display Drive but possibly engage Reverse for 1.5 seconds before engaging Drive. Therefore, the vehicles do not conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 102, Transmission Shift Lever Sequence, Starter Interlock, and Transmission Braking Effect.
